I had an account with the previous website, why can't I log in?

If you previously participated in the survey from our old website (2016-2022) you will need to register again on this new site and create new log in details, your previous log in details will not work.

Thank you for your support and for joining again. Your previously entered records have been shared with data verifiers for Butterfly Conservation's national recording scheme.

There is a one-off data transfer option that you may want to request as a previous Garden Butterfly Survey participant. If you indicate your interest in this during registration, we may be able to add your previously submitted Garden Butterfly Survey records into your new account according to the terms of this new website - please find this option in the registration page Additional Options.

Previous account holders who used the old website will need to sign up and register again. 

The previous website was retired and a new website built to allow improved content and additional functions.

You can request to have your previous data transferred over. At the end of the Sign Up page you will find a tick box accompanied with the following text.
